Eco2Solar is the leading installer of solar PV and green technologies for the UK’s housebuilding sector. They sought to strengthen their public profile as boundary-pushing thought leaders in renewable energy, influencing the public and stakeholders to ‘make solar standard’.
By researching their audiences and identifying the most powerful platforms for sharing this message, we identified a communications programme that incorporated PR, marketing, creative and digital to deliver their objectives.
During our Define phase, we identified that to influence housebuilders to make solar standard, we’d also need to influence local councils to increase building regulations, and consumers to demand more sustainable features in new homes.
By segmenting and understanding Eco2Solar’s key audiences, we were able to build a communications strategy that would target them in a much more focused and effective way.
We crafted a comprehensive communications plan that maximised quarterly themes, topical opportunities, audience engagement and brand positioning. Using crowd-sourcing tactics such as consumer sentiment surveys, we were able to secure robust data to enforce our messaging around the need for more solar on new homes.
We then incorporated this data into our plan, which included thought leadership, insightful op-eds, targeted digital marketing, inspiring creative and engaging socials.
Through PR, we reached a target audience of almost 1.5 million people, delivering an ROI of over 2,000%.
